i did haveit... but it kreeped (is kreeped a word?) me out to much... not the murderous face, the brliance of it... it muct be a photo... on my 32" HD telly it is flawless....
 
i know its cgi.... but it has t be a photo.... surely... every single hair is perfect!!!

How can it be both CGI and a photo? By nature of CGI being what it is (Computer Generated Imagery) it can't be a photo as well can it?

Pixar have only ever done CGI animation... That's why they're so damn good at it!

Im guessing he means its a still render from Pixar not a screen shot from the film which is what it is.
 
It does look like a photo of a fabric toy monkey! It's the tiny details that make it so realistic. Probably takes 1000 hrs to render each hair's movement everytime he claps!
 
I'd imagine it is a lot faster than that with today's GPU rendering capabilities :p remember a few modern GPUs in parallel have awesome computing power :p
