Just about finished my current setup. Think ill end up putting the case under the desk though as im getting some weird HDD resonating noises.

Elastic suspension :)

I think it might have to be that. It seems to make a droning noise that runs though the desk into the floor and into the next room. I cant actually hear it when its beside me but its irritating in the other room. Strangeness

That is a sick setup! I am assuming you are running the PC via mini displayport to the iMac?

Love the mouse :D

What mat is that? Does it have a hard or soft top?

Cheers

Cheers Guitarman0 (Just checked out your Aladdins cave of hardware on youtube, very nice :) )

Spot on thats a mini display port connection from my Zotac card into the Mac. One for work, one for play ;)

The mat is the Boogie Bug AimB.Pad XL. Soft top. Reviews speak for themselves really.

I feel your pain! I'm a silencing nut. Suspended storage drive (powers down quickly as an SSD is my primary), fanless graphics card, semi-passive PSU, fanless heatsink and a single case fan that only comes on when things get really hot.

Any noise drives me to distraction until I locate and neutralise it :p

I see your keeping those cables nice and tidy throughout SouthEastBlue. Very nice :)

Man after my own heart. Had to get rid of a few noisy HDD's in my time as intermittent or high pitched noise drives me up the wall. Id say your PC must be no louder than a mouse fart :D
Ive just put a part piece of black foam under it at the moment so ill see how that works out tomorrow.

Yeah only had mine a few weeks, although for ~£20 they are pretty decent as long as the bass is toned down with an equalizer. :)

Because your sub is on a hard floor an in the corner it will only emphasise the bass (and not only that but make it sound worse). If you put something soft under it, like a carpet off-cut, and moved it out of the corner I'm sure you'd notice a nice improvement :)
