So i bought two more Dell 2407s and now :

Work:

workxng.jpg

Extended desktop over the centre and right hand side screen and works lappy (on a VGA Connection) on the left hand screen

Then

playvd.jpg

Full 5760x1200 goodness of desktop space and ready for some gheyming goodness :D

I had the spare keyboard and mouse and only work from home (using the lappy) occasionally so 95% of the time they're under the desk anyway but I'll take a look :)

Not sure if it will work as the lappy is connected hrough VPN and the left hand monitor has two inputs - dvid from the main rig and VGA from the lappy

But cheers I'll have another look :D

I have that eyefinity screen saver.... i bet you used to use the new york city one?

Could you not use Synergy to cut it down to 1 mouse + keyboard?

Save a bit of room :)

Tried this evening and just cant get it to work - not sure if its the mix of OS, VPN or something different - really CBA for the amount of times I have 2 keybords on the desk - cheers for the suggestion though :)

Could do with a dust on your 300 spikey ;)

Yea I know...carpet + two front fans = much dust in the front :( I really would like wooden flooring...but not gonna happen any time soon.

It's amazing how much cleaning out the filters improves temps in the case... After a thorough de-dusting, I can get as much as a 5 degree drop.

Probably time to do it, as per your suggestion...I will post a de-dusted photo at the weekend to make you happy ;)
