I couldnt get through on the phone to Ikea, I was waiting for 30 minutes and was still in 4th place in the queue. So instead I'm going to the Ikea store in an hour or two to order on the 24 hour delivery :)

YAY :D The desk will be here tomorrow. When you get it from the store you need to pick the stuff from the warehouse yourself and take it to the checkout on a small palette. Then you pay and arrange delivery which happens the next day :)

Also the instore delivery was £15, online was £30 :X

I'll just have to cancel the online order now. Also I chose the Birch tabletop instead of the Oak, as the oak one looked a lot worse when viewing the actual thing.

What are the things on the left of the desk? Look like little girl's play toy figures!

2 for £4 figurines from a market stand many many years ago :p

And he watches Angel!!!!! I vote ban ¬_¬

I bought the Buffy + Angel boxsets and watched them once, I dont get why people on this forum dont like them, they are amazing :D

I cant be bothered to set up my second monitor today, too tired after desk assembly :(

My mains adaptor and all my computer power capbles were placed at the back of the left shelf - they fit onto it nicely and eliminated floor clutter.

All I have plugged into the back of my PC is the power cable, monitor and keyboard. The USB hub is connected to the keyboard, and everything else to that :D

... And now I have double vision!

The monitor on the left cost me £350, the one on the right £325. The 19" Sony is worthless now so I kept it for this day instead of selling it :D

Great cable management with this Roccat Apuri :)

bhavv - I know it's been said many times in this thread, but I can't find it on the last couple of pages, but what's the name of that desk? I've found them in Ikea, but in white/black or red/white and lots of other colours except yours! and that's the one I want!

Vika Amon Birch effect.

I had ordered the oak effect one online at first because it was darker and I thought this one would show up stains and dirt too easily (which it does).

But looking at them in the store I thought the oak effect was ugly. I only liked the Birch and Black ones, and the Birch effect matches my piano and wardrobes / drawers, and goes nicely against my pastel green wall paint :)

Heres the Birch effect:

The oak effect doesnt look this nice and smooth IRL:

Its covered in horrible and strongly visible wood bands and circles.

Oh, wait. I only just understood what you were asking. You are looking at the desk + legs combined packages. What you need to do is buy the Birch tabletop, and two black Annefors seperately.

Heres the annefors:

If you buy them instore, they deliver them the next day (I had to pick mine out of the warehouse myself and push them on a trolley palette to to the checkout, I had my dad with me to help and I dont recommend shopping for a desk at Ikea alone).

If you order online, it takes up to a month for delivery, and the delivery charge is twice as much (£15 for instore purchases on next day delivery, £30 for online delivery in 3-4 weeks time). With Ikea its a lot better to shop instore.
