Very interested in the VIKA AMON 120x60 table top. Thinking about getting it in black and then two legs in white. The VIKA ANNEFORS and the VIKA ALEX (which I'm sure can store a CM 690II if you don't put the back on it or install shelving)

Needs a lick of paint ;)

Hmmm, a 120 cm would fit two of those units, but there will be very little space in between.

The Annefors and Alex are the same size, one is fully coverd with a door, the other has an open front and sides.

Also theres no way you can use the storage units without the back panel, otherwise the top that holds the desk would fall down.

Yea, for the 120 you can do one aneffor and two normal legs.

With the 150 CM desk and two Annefors, plus my 20 CM width PC in the middle, I have just enough space left for my chair and leg comfort.

I suppose a 120 CM and two storage units would work, but not with a nice big chair, and nothing else in the middle.

I thought they were going to be so much more expensive!

I'd get:

The 150CM desk, which is £22
and 2x Storage Legs which comes to £58, and that's all I would need, right?

All together it's £80 :)

Yup thats it. £80 for the lot, plus £15 for next day delivery from the store.

My tabletop's front left corner was chipped, I have no idea if I did it or if it happened in transit, but at just £22 I'm not going to lug it all the way back to the store and pay for a new one to be delivered - I cellotaped it up and stuck some bluetak on top as its the corner that protrudes into the room and can be bumped into.

Also if you bother to get a family card, the 150 cm desk can be had for £16, but I didnt bother.

Another pic of mine from a slightly different angle :)

The desk, piano and my wardrobes are all almost the same colour, and go really well with the pastel green, as does my orange monitor :)

The black clashes horribly, but I like the black legs and PC case :(

I must say I am very surprised at how cheap it can be from Ikea. Probably go down to Wembley and pick up the parts next weekend to save on delivery. I've also taken a look at their keyboard pull out tray and thinking about a shelf with castors to put the pc case on underneath the table

When you buy stuff from the Ikea store, you have to go through the warehouse yourself and pick the parts onto a palette, and then take them to checkout.

The Annefors were easy to pick and move on my own, but that 150 CM desk is a nightmare, even though its lighter due to its size, but the old man helped me with that :)

Do take another person with you if picking the desk yourself from the store, it is huge.

I really should have picked up one of these while I was there, I saw it from a distance and it made my mouth water:

I LIEK!!!!!, but I didnt buy :(

Is there an 80cm wide version of that VIKA AMON top and the Annefor/Alex legs? My current top that I got from Ikea is 80cm and I couldn't imagine anything smaller as this is the perfect width, so I'll be gutted if there isn't.

Would the corner and alex/annefor fit with that though, as the corner desk is 120x120, which I assume goes with the 60cm deep version. I'm hoping that's just an oversight and there is a wider corner version also?

Oh, the alex and anenefor are 58 cm depth, so if the corner desk is 120 you would need some legs too I think.

I took a picture of my chipped corner .... this was so unfair :(

But cellotape + blutak will keep it ok, £22 isnt worth taking something this big back, and I wouldnt want to waste all that wood.
