Ikea billy bookcases would be a perfect alternative to those shelf units

Granted, you won't be able to match them to your Argos ones, but ideal for someone starting off a shelf collection :D

I'm getting Billy's next for my study. I literally have stacks of books on the floor. What I find annoying though is the white Billy is £32 but the dark-brown/black one is £55? Same with some drawers that are £25 for white, £35 for dark.

I know this is an old post but I would love it if someone could tell me where I can find that black unit under the desk. I can't find anything like it anywhere and as far as I can tell there's no PMs on this forum

Thanks
Sorry for the seriously late reply (I don't tend to check this tread anymore :p) but it was a hifi rack given to me by my dad so judging by the age of all his other hifi stuff I would say it is about 20 years old :D

No idea where it is from!

Need to buy a new Mousemat and kick the phone off the desk as it takes up so much space.

The pieces of paper that stick out of the case are there to prevent the vibration of front panel :D.

My Antec 300 doesn't have front panel or side panel vibrations... I can feel the entire thing vibrating a little but no individual panels or pieces contributing to noise. Perhaps some blu-tac behind the front panel bezels and tighten the thumbscrews on the side panel at the back?

This is my room in the downstairs of the house.

I have my gaming pc and projector set up down here. Just recently purchased some Quad speakers to replace the old Q acoustic's set up I had. The projector is full 1080p.

The AV cabinet has PS3 and a HTPC that has XBMC on it for playback of all my Blu-ray rips. I dump all of my Blu-rays in the attic for storage.

These are my two HP microservers bot running unraid and both have 10TB of space each, so 20TB of storage in all. Great for storing all of my Blu-ray rips, documents and photos.

That's a cracker of a setup you got there Phill!

And on a side note, I recommend the film Moon to everyone - it's a very unassuming film but it is in fact really, really good! :)

Thanks all for the kind words. Its a 84 inch screen and I love the immersion you get from a good projector and a good sound set up. Nothing beats it. I have a rather expensive taste for good computers and good AV equipment it seems. I just wish it wasn't so expensive :D

Yeah I fell in love with Moon when I saw it at the Odeon a couple of years ago. A great film with a brilliant twist. Loved it!

Had a bit of a move around:
