looks cleaner :D and blows a lot of air.

have one myself and think a couple of the guys here have it aswell.

Some of these set ups are great, but the number of 5.1 systems crammed into a small area on the desk top is just plain wrong!

Why spend money on a 5.1 system when for similar money you can get a decent set of 2.1 speakers?

I need to get a photo up here really. I'll do that tomorrow.

Because normally you would go for a 5.1 system, if for example you were watching movies or wanted to have that full experience.

Were as 2.1 systems are mainly used for stereo music, left and right channel hence 2.1 system. I would for example use desk speakers like that for youtube videos, or background music.

Yes I understand the point of 5.1 speakers and when used properly they are great for movies and games (I used to own some). But I'm seeing some 5.1 systems set up as if they were 2.1 systems which is baffling me as a £200 set of 5.1 speakers will be of a poorer quality compared to a £200 set of 2.1 speakers.

No point in buying 5.1 if you're going to cram them on to a desk right in front of you.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to cause an issue I am just asking.

I really didn't have enough space for three monitors so i had a little move around:

More to the point they will sound better standing, there is enough room either side of those monitors to have them standing without obscuring the drivers.

Hi G-Dubs hows the case modding coming along?

getting back into it now the weathers warmer. The reviewing for the other site keeps me bust and is great fun. Not only that, but it's lead to another mod getting started.

Keep your eyes peeled for a mod of Phantom 410 "gun metal" special edition. I'm going to be watercooling both the CPU and GPU and plan to have 2x240 rads in there.

The Modzart keeps plodding along, in fact did a bit this weekend (and then had to undo quite a bit as some of my measurements of the acrylic were a fraction off. Also had a bit of a respray of the copper.

When I have some more pics i'll update the thread, meanwhile as this is "desk and room" i'd best shut up :)

That is the way they inevitably end up anyway :p

For some reason, creative thought that a speaker with a high centre of gravity should have an even smaller footprint than the baffle would allow
Mine have huge chunks out of them now, they keep falling off the desk .
