Yep, the Sony bookshelves are connected to the Z-5500 amplifier. They go just as loud as the satellites, only the highs are quite a bit better and there's a tiny bit more mid-bass.

Awsome, I have some old massive bookshelves somewere, they really old and have like a 6" mid bass speakers and a 3" at the top, wonder if that will work might give it a try .

Nope - it's just for pumping through the marshall. But then there isn't really much worth recording - i'm still quite the beginner.

Speakers are mission yup. 701s. Amp is Technics along with all my other seperates. I aint had chance to set up my decks n stuff yet (just moved in) need to build me a deck stand, but black ash board is like gold dust!
