Get one of those fabric XXL mouse mats. Your arms and such wont mark the desk.

EDIT:

Go for Steelcase leaps, you can get it of a popular auction site 2nd hand (looks like new). The new one cost around 400-600 pounds but you can get a used one for under 100 quid.
Dont waste money on kashmir as after couple months it not going to be comfy like it use to be...
