@dannywaugh1 what depth is that desktop? Is it wood?
I'm looking at building my own desk, roughly inspired by this dude:

I don't have his equipment or skillset, but I'm aiming for a final version similar to this
Ikea dining table, but without the gap up the middle, and I want to close up the left side and put a board across the back to hide messy wires.
I have a hefty 34 UW Alienware, and an XL mouse matt that I lose, so I need 80cm depth. My current desk is 150cm wide, which feels about right.
For the top, I can't decide between wood veneered MDF at a cost of approx £100, or real wood worktop for about £220. My main concern with MDF is that it will sag over 150cm... I've already discounted on supplier that can only offer 19mm thick veneered MDF... I need to follow up with another that I think offers 25 and 30mm.
Any advice on how to proceed? Is veneered MDF likely to fail badly?
