Hi,

I am not sure where I should ask this, but have any of you bought/made a desk from Ikea? Specifically, Linnmon top with Adils legs?

It comes out to around £20 for a decent sized desk, so I am pretty interested.

Cheers.

That's what I used, with the top anyway. I used the 200cm top and purchased two legs for the front and used a length wood for the back against the wall. Any bigger and I would be concerned about how much weight could go in the middle of the desk but for the money, is pretty good!

I've bought a Linnmon top, not got any legs/drawers for it yet. Seems a very popular desktop for the money and actually looks quite nice too.

I am using it with heavy speakers (not ideal) and no problems with it. Not the most solid but looks great and easy to move.

Does anyone have the Viking 'Berlin' chair here? I've just had a search for the chair thread and can't find it, is this chair any good guys?

It's okay considering the price. I had the brown one for about 6 months. The tilting isn't a smooth motion and it ends up squeaking and rocking slightly.

I replaced it with a Steelcase Leap V2. :D

Also, how do people here live with such narrow desks?!?

Looks great, never seen a desk split like that.

Thanks :)

I needed two setups in one space, got fed up of moving the wheel!

Messed around on sketchup and that layout worked best. The wife can use the left PC for work and I use it for a home lab on another partition.

I've got the racing setup to myself ;)

Just want to know, how did you get the steering wheel to clamp to the desk? I believe I have one with similar thickness but no way to clamp the wheel to it.

Thanks. And a very awesome set up as well. :)

I had a face palm moment when I got the desk because of this.

Figured out that you can ease off the plastic blocks on the clamps (see link for a pic of the blocks) to give more clearance. Just get a flat screwdriver and ease each side off, they are only clipped on.

I then cut a thin bit of wood to go under the desk to spread the load.

It's a very clean and elegant solution, good job!
