its so basic but for some reason when you prest windows+D it takes about a minute to bring that beast of a wallpaper up. LOL

As for CPU FSB I have no idea as I have a 2.4 "Northwood", maybe the script is picking up something else? Yes the chip is at stock at the moment due to some poor clocking PC2700 ram. :/

uberskilled i love ur work but how easy is it to change back to XP from The MAC config just i really WANNA do it but if i dont like it i wanna change back to XP

PS. were did u get icons i love them?
 
well in my case i can go back to xp in a few minutes as the only system files i've changed are the uxtheme.dll file and the shell32.dll. apart from that the rest is just programs running mostly, so you'd just stop them. it would probably take me 5 minutes to get back the default xp look and settings. as for the icons you can download the little set here

these will be available for about a week and then ill be removing them cuz i need the webspace lol if anyone wants to host them at all feel free to it would be appreciated. i have a new desktop in the works which ill be posting in the next few days hopefully

No it happens when I quit Sim City 4 mainly :confused:
I found all the places where it was hiding out, then restarted with an XP disk and renamed them all to .bak in the recovery console, and put the mac-style copy in in their place.
When it replaces itself, it also seems to bugger the hotkeys on this machine for setting display brightness and changing wireless mode and things :(
Winblows update doesn't seem to affect it
 
One weird thing is I have a BEoS shell32 at work and have used iconpackager to change one icon, the shell32 seems to overwrite this?:confused:

ive had that problem before! i didnt know how to fix it so i just reshacked the shell32.dll and put in the icon i wanted. i'm sure theres an easier way tho!!!
