Destiny Multiplayer Thread - it came from the moon...

Tbh I was thinking maybe its worth getting a raid/special strikes thread up as I think only a small amount of people could really attempt them right now. Im thinking any of the weeklys count because of the modifiers. With the Raid I think it would be mad to attempt it below level 24 myself...

I dont particularly want to manage character level as its going to be a moving target while I think people that want to raid and do the weekly strikes could organise themselves accordingly - which is why I was happy to collate the most obvious (relatively static) information and allow people to start the ball rolling engaging others - main reason I asked about the expansion pass as I guessed some might want to build a group now that lasts beyond the initial content...

Thoughts?

Is there anyone who can plays non-standard hours - say like 1pm through 5pm weekdays UK time (next month 12pm through 4pm)?

I'm billy no mates and haven't been able to do any of the no-matchmaking strikes. Flipping Bungie - matchmaking is there for a reason!!

This would be good. I might be able to get online before work (evening UK time) if I know there is going to be a raid happening. I should probably get a mic thing for my Astros 'cos I'll be able to use the chat when the GF is at work :D

Pretty casual player these days, just looking for some people to enjoy the multi-player aspects of the game with. Not really sure what all these things like Strike, Crucible, Bounty mean in reality so yeah, I'm quite clueless right now :) Joined the OCUK group, again, don't know what that means in reality.

I'm around most weeknight evenings after work 6pm onwards and most weekends. Looking for some buddies to Strike, PVP and Raid with :) Level 24 at the moment!

I'm on the 360 till I upgrade to XBO, in case there's anyone on the 360, I am up for Strike, PVP and when I'm ready, Raid. Will update when I do upgrade.

OK so I got a PS4 and Destiny today. The people you meet running around just seem, to be looking for loot and don't seem to do the mission...making them much harder and more time consuming. I am only Level 3 but am i missing something here? Surely this gets really hard when you are level 15+ playing without help. Also If I friend you guys surely that means I am no help on a level 10 mission. Likewise a level 20 can't join up on a level 4 mission or can we? Sorry for the questions I am a bit suprised the whole game is cooperative... or is it?

I'm level 4 so pretty much in the same boat as you, when you hit level 4 you'll be able to do Bounties, which is what those guys are probably doing. Feel free to add me as a friend (PSN - Japheth105) if you fancy doing some low level fire team stuff. I should be online tonight.

One thing I found out last night is that there's a Fireteam Privacy setting which is set by default to Friends Only. For a Billy No Mates like me that's not much use so I've set it to public.

Edit: I was also getting confused as to how other players were waving or pointing at me, I had to Google the solution: http://uk.ign.com/wikis/destiny/Emotes Once again I think this should have been explained in a manual that should have come with the game.

I play most weeknights from 6pm and weekends from 9am or from 1pm.

Level 24 Hunter (main)
Level 20 Warlock
Level 12 Titan

Only other things I do multiple times per week really is Squash and watching NFL/NHL when they are on.


I'll deff be interested in getting ready for the raids etc soon. The weekly heroics have been challenging and fun so far doing those with my mates and have done a few with guys from here.

I'm almost at Level 25 now so hoping to get to 26 then start a raid. It's still locked though at the minute so maybe I can't do it without any legendary armour? I'll need some to level up anyway mind so doesn't matter either way.
 
Just joined the OCUK clan.

Up to a level 8 Warlock now after a few hours playing yesterday.

Will hopefully be online later on tonight (from around 9PM). My Xbone headset seems to work fine with my PS4 (which was a nice suprise) so I have voice comms. :)

I will have to go through the players list in the first post to add people.

EDIT - Gone through the opening post PS4 list and added everyone that I could. I have sent the message OCUK (Destiny) - although I may have missed this on a couple of requests. Quickshot89 - your PSN ID doesn't appear for me when I search?

I am glad that you can use a USB keyboard on the PS4 along with copy and paste :)

I'm interested in doing some weekly strikes on PS4 with my level 27 Warlock. PSN name is niroe, online most nights from about 7pm.

Also sent a request to join the clan.
 
Anyone getting connection problems on the Xbox I can be playing for 20 mins and now i get booted out with either Bee or Fly error code. I have opened the ports and it still happens.
