Deus Ex: Human Revolution

yeah pre-renders mean nothing if you get DE2 gameplay.

*flying the DE2 banner*

I'll be delighted if the gameplay is as good as Invisible War. DE2 was great on the pc at least. Sure it was shorter, had universal ammo, and less augmentation slots, but at it's heart was a solid game firmly planted in the Deus Ex universe.

People that jumped on the bandwagon, or knee-jerked when it originally came out, should go back, and play it(again if need be). It's better than a lot of games out today.

I liked Invisible War, it would have gone down as a very good game....if it hadn't followed the best game ever made. The universal ammo thing sucked though.

Being honest, I was put off enough by all the badmouthing it got, and wouldn't have got around to playing if it hadn't come with my x1800 card, or whatever it was(t'was yonks), and really missed out.

I'm planning on playing through DE and IW soonish. They were dirt cheap on steam not so long back, and now I don't have to bother looking for the discs. Hurrah for convienence. I think they are still relatively cheap, just not in the dirt fashion.

DE2 was garbage.

I've completed DE1 about 10 times or something though.

On topic... that trailer looks amazing. Great music too.

DE2 looked far better, had far better physics, had more exciting augmentations from the black market, and a great plot. It's shortcomings were map size, game length, universal ammo, and fewer augmentation slots.

I'm not sure that qualifies as garbage. It's been a few years since I played it, 3 I think? So feel free to remind me what was so utterly bad about it.

If you played it three years ago, you'll have coped better. At the time it was a hideous resource hog, even with the hilariously small maps, and even decent computers struggled. That's a major gripe of mine.

Maybe it wasn't garbage, but it was such a massive step down from DE1 that it barely warrants a mention in the same sentence.

never really played any of em, need to take a look into that.
This however feels and looks like Ghost in the Shell saga
cyber punk sci fi awesomeness.

Yummy. This might persuade me to upgrade to SLI'd GPUs.

I hope Squeenix let the devs do their own thing, rather than swinging their do-as-we-say-publisher-stick around. Have Eidos released anything they developed since the acquisition?

Wow, like I said earlier in the thread, one of the best trailers for a video game I have seen (along with the star wars mmorpg ones) but gameplay looks absolute rubbish. The first persion view looks like the studio is funded by lidl or something. The rest looks vage, like it is directed at 12 year olds who still masturbate over cod and other action packed games.

Was looking forward to this game but now....

Thanks for the gameplay heads up though.

Loved the first and really enjoyed the second - wasn't aware it got slated so much
