I always thought light under mobo would look amazing. The new MSI z97 gaming 9 board does this and it looks awesome!,but reason why I didn't get it was bios is near where near as good as Asus boards.

Really simply to do, 2 Bitfenix LED strips slipped under the board and the cables hidden, Gives it a nice effect I think :)

I've bought the corsair lighting node. I saw and liked what corsair has done with them at trade shows. I also have the nzxt hue lighting. I really like it,but wanted.to try the corsair lighting node.
 
are the lights built into the mb retro?

and yeah asus have the best bios's out of all the manufacturers imo,very slick

The MSI z97 Gaming 9 board has red LED's underneath the mobo. I saw it and thought wow it looked amazing,but bought Asus instead because it had the better bios.
 
tbf I havnt used an msi board,but ive seen a fair few compatibility issues with them and a few failures/dead boards

idk if they have improved things for z97
 
Having a hard time finding other Asus Striker 760 where the LED's work right. On my 4th Striker now. Idle and load LED'S are all messed up :( Asked for refund and hope I can find other striker that works like the one I have already. Hope I can sort this out before the DC 4790k releases? Wanted to show final product photo's:)
 
What a great day it is today. Getting 4790k tomorrow. and YES I have found a Asus Striker with working LED's :D yes, yes!!!:D:D:D

I think the Asus Striker batch at OCUK are faulty. I bought this new one yesterday for another retailer and they said it was from the first batch they got. . I said I'll take it because the older batch work good. this newer batch seems messed up. LED's are not working right. Don't care now. I have 2 properly working GPU's

I'm happy I have one that does what it's supposed to do:D:D:D

Yes I can finish build now:)
 
Good news about the gpu as well. Look forward to seeing your completed build. Very nice looking cards those.

Haven't spent any time with the wife. Going to hang out with her with a while, then I'll be back for pic..
 
Very pleased with this build. It all went smooth, No issues.

Now to do some proper gaming:D
