Dexter - Original Sin (2024)

I'd agree with all of you boys, but glorificus as a girl was where I found out that I'm really into the idea of a woman taking charge in certain situations.

Now. As for dexter itself - I think I've figured out what doesn't fit. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy christian slater as an actor but i don't think he fits as harry. James Remar was just too good in that role. Out of all the original cast members they recast, he's the one that really didn't need to be. Unless remar is dead. Did remar die?!

I caught the end of his first kill and I was surprised how it kinda felt pretty good to the original.

I won't be watching it properly but if the wife's got it on Ill watch now and then.

James Remar is still alive and kicking.

It's pretty average but they definitely nailed the casting of the main characters imo
It's interesting to see how they're using the show to recontextualise and draw out Dexter's memories in comparison to the original show, to the point that I wonder if the show will culminate with harry's suicide, or whether that's going to be a season finale and from there we get to see more...family drama (not against it, because I find this version of debbie way more tolerable and a better actress than jennifer carpenter) with the debbie being younger dynamic taking the place of home normalcy that Rita and the kids offered in the original

I'm rewatching the original dexter in between new episodes dropping, and I'm being reminded how much i disliked debbie as a character. I also really wish paramount would subtitle the parts where angel and laguerta decide to go into full conversation spanish. or portugese.
