Dexter

I'm really enjoying season six :)

I can't wait for Dexter to go postal in the final couple of epidsodes, he's had his moments, but I'm awaiting a spectacular end :D

Kind of saw this episode coming, but still very much enjoyed it.

Season six is gearing up for a pretty spectacular end. Really enjoying Travis as Dexters opposite in this season though. I've really enjoyed this season, I don't think it's quite "as" good as the first, but it's not too far off. Brilliant :)

I knew the scene where Dexter and Debs eating Chinese was a dream although I think something may come of that interview with the shrink. Through out the season Debs has definitely had some feelings towards Dexter.

The ending was something I didn't expect though. How does he get out of that one. I take it he would be too far from shore to swim although has a good idea of what direction to swim because of the direction Travis went in the boat, but what if someone sees him and picks him up, wouldn't there be an investigation as to why Dexter is in the sea.

I reckon he will confess to Debs about his dark passenger and this dark passenger will confess to her about the feelings he has for Deb. Thus, Dexter and Debs get involved together.

Next season will be them working together to get back at LaGeurta (sp) as she will manage to get some leads on the Bay harbor Butcher via the hand that gets posted to dexter either at the station or at his home. The hand has a bigger part to play in either the final episode or next season.

Has the ingredients to make for a stunning finale.

thanks for using the spoiler tags guys, just about to watch the latest ep, so I came in here to spoiler my self, and then post messages about being spoilered on the internet. Glad I didn't need to do that... :)

What is the motivation for posting the hand? What is that all about ? What's his deal?

Not sure but I am sort of inclined to believe he knows who Dexter really is and what he does. Maybe I dreamt this but did someone somewhere in one of the seasons (or possibly I read it somewhere) mention that serial killers collect things? Dexter has his blood slides and the Intern has his stash of various memorabilia! maybe he is a killer of some sort?

This is what I was thinking.

Also do you think the original female Intern will return? Either next episode or next season? I think her and the hand Intern bloke (Cannot remember his name) are in together in some way. She nicks the hand, puts it on the Net for sale, next intern turns up and 'clears' all traces of it from the internet after he 'buys' it. Puts it on show in his pad and plans his next move.

The female intern meanwhile, is possibly doing some more background research on dexter (out of sight) to aid the bloke intern. This computer game he made and showed it to Dexter, do you think he did it on purpose to get a reaction? If someone wasn't a killer I bet they would love the game, you know, like we do eg. going around killing people, nicking cars and running prostitutes over etc. however as Dexter is a killer (in the good sense) he knows its bad and tries to hold back but his dark passenger makes that too hard that's why he has a code hence his immediate reaction was negative towards the game. The intern was fishing for conformation and Dexters reaction to the game confirmed it. Now it's play time for the Intern.........

Sorry for the long post but its the best scenario I can muster at this time.

I'm...enjoying it somewhat so far, though the actual character of Dexter is irritating me so far. I've watched up to episode 5 in season 1, it seems like a slow starter so I'll stick with it for a bit.

What are peoples thoughts on this latest season?

I'm not really enjoying it as much as past ones. Although the last one or two episodes have been 'better' they seem kinda... average at best?

Maybe just me, but I usually love Dexter.

They are good. Not brilliant but good. Like you said the last few are better in fact probably episode 11 is the best of the season as it now has opened up 3 or 4 story lines that season 7 can pursue.

Taken from another site. Some good points that I have missed or just forgot about.

A little of what I said in a post a bit ago is in here but not as in depth as this one.

I think Louis is researching Dexter and knows he is the Bay Harbor Butcher. He either created or has hacked into Eliotsearchengine.com. I think he created it, because he almost speaks about it with pride. Regardless, he has observed Dexter's searches on the back end and used them to connect Dexter to BHB. He has advised others in Miami Metro to use the search engine because that gives him additional insight into their investigations. He has money (see his apartment and extravagant/eccentric collections) because of his work on the search engine and/or sales of games. He is now building a new game about serial killers, and has joined on Masuka's intern program as a way of researching the game. He admires Dexter's skills, not just in his job, but in his ability to track down killers that the police miss, plus his ability to hide in plain site all this time. He is walking in Dexter's footsteps to learn more about him as well as to learn from him. Dexter's reaction to his game scared him... He offended this skilled serial killer, after all. How far will Louis take his research? Was Dexter's challenge about not knowing what it means to take a life be a challenge to him? Like his game, he is living vicariously through a serial killer. Did Dexter's comment make him realize that vicarious living isn't enough to make an authentic game?

They do this in every season, (well at least since s3) Do they follow up with the storylines? Do they hell. WTF about Kyle butler and all that> ? That was a massive climax to season4 all for it to be forgotten about....

Honestly I think it's the worst so far. There are some good things happening, but they're unevenly plotted and some of the story threads appear almost irrelevant. Usually I'm on the edge of my seat through Dexter and this season that's only happened a couple of times.

droolinggimp you have me convinced, when i watch tv shows it seems like i just dont connect the dots and im constantly wowed as it happens, thats some good skills you have there :)!
