Dexter

like the show can't stand his sister though. often skip through scenes with her in.

Just watched the last episode, that was something... certainly better than it could have been, i'll say that. And yes, that does make sense :p

I think series 5 was the weakest so far, personally, but still looking forward to 6. It is still my fav show of the the last 10 years. There is something about the writing and characters that makes it (still think losing Dokes was a massive mistake). I miss Dokes.

no i havent, you recommend?

First book is wierd as it is what the first series is based on so only slightly different. Second book is not related to the TV at all so things are interesting. Third book gets odd and I haven't read the others yet.

Overall would recomend so far.

Same I've read the first 3. God it was scary how close S1 was to the book like above said. And some of the plot twists that carry over but were avoided in the series would make for some interesting viewing I think, if less believable. And all that mystic stuff in the 3rd? I'm very glad they didnt add that to the show.

Was this not delayed due to Michael C Hall having cancer?

Also @ arknor, They're separated iirc and going through the divorce :)

Hey there

Having never seen one single episode of this I started watching season one last night and am now up to episode 5. Yes I know I've got loads to catch up on, and I've not read through this whole thread as I don't want to see any spoilers but I'm loving what I've seen so far

Skip season 3. Trust me.

That could explain why I've lost interest in the show suddenly during season 3 ><

season 3 was ok, but if you skip it at least make sure you watch episode 10 "go your own way" simply for the amazing rooftop scene between dexter and Miguel towards the end of the episode....amazng acting from both.

and a little known fact (well at least i think it is) - that none of the show is actually shot in Miami , most of it is filmed in California. :p clever hey (sorry for ruining the illusion)
