Season 4 - best by far
Season 2 - BHB - could be in for an S7 update .... ?
Season 1 - first series - pretty decent
Season 6 - turned out well in the end
Season 5 - after not picking up the threads of S4, this season was tainted

12 is Just not enough for a big show like this, i know they saw Quality is more than Quantity but 12 is just ridiculous

Nah. If they tried to make it 20+ episodes like a lot of other series then you'd get a ton of pointless filler episodes which aren't worth watching. With 12, every episode counts.

Awww I wanted some dialogue before the credits! :/ Now we've got 9/12 months before we see what happens and I'll be ****** if they skip and go onto some sort of mutual silence or pretend it didn't happen, I want that discussion!!

PS. Also found out reading someones response above that they were married and divorced, how awkward would that be on set for them and the others while that was all happening!? Doesn't show though unless they have remained 'friends' somehow.

Yeah the would have filmed that back to back as it was such a short scene anyway. So the Season 7 Opener would have been in the same place

I've been on a Dexter marathon these past few days and I'm finally into season 6. Almost unbelievable they've left religious nuts until this season. Is this season the best? Lila was probably the highlight for me.

Tbh, saying something you want to happen and "calling it" are very different things

I think that at the end of this series - XYZ will happen = calling it.

I can't help but wish Dexter developed super powers and killed people with lasers out of his eyes = wanting it to happen.

Awesome end to S7 from Dexter, the first real cliffhanger out of all the series to, imo. Usually its nice and wrapped up at the end (exception of S4) and this is really busted wide open. It was always due to happen (books), but this series built it up really nicely.

I was not surprised after reading some of the reactions on here (even though they weren't spoilers), but I wouldn't have carried on watching the season if I didn't know something big was going to happen.

I predict Deb will have mysteriously vanished by next season. If she's being written out because her and Michael don't get on then I doubt she will make it past first episode. From the viewers point of view, we won't know whether Dexter killed her or she just needed to get away/ran away. Just a guess anyway.

I saw it coming (if you're talking about the ending of season six) it's been long over due in my opinion and as Dexter seems to be gearing up for the finale few seasons it was a natural arch.

They've probably filmed the next little bit, because the ending KABLAMO moment is the wizardry of editing I reckon. Why waste a good hundred thousand bucks for your set to be put into storage just to fit around a production timetable when you can knock it out in less than half a day on set?

As for the 9-12 months argument, at least it's not like Walking Dead where they've split the LAST episode of the season off by four months, I don't know who decided that was a good idea...
