I do hope there's some kind of Assassin (traps etc.) character as I really enjoyed them back when I played Diablo II. I assume they'll release more classes in an expansion.

Going by what we have seen of D3, the Witch Doctor is essentially the Necromancer. The skills shown are very similar to that of the Necromancers, like Corpse Explosion and Zombie Wall instead of Bone Wall. To be honest, i dont think we will be seeing the Necromancer again.

There are screenshots on the website, but there is also a 720p gameplay movie out, so people have probably just screengrabbed that.

Ahh thats ok, if the witch doctor looks like a similar style thats cool. My work has the D3 site blocked so I cant read up on the skills at the mo.

My view is the witchdoctor doesn't to enough dancing and wailing... perhaps a bit stereotypical but when has that stopped the yanks?

Hmmm yes, from the screenshots it looks like theyve been working on it for a while so hopefully the ETA isnt like 10 years away.

Just because you have gameplay doesnt mean you cant have good graphics as well. If it was completed in 2010 ( wouldnt have thought so with vids released ) then it would look very dated by then. Doesnt look anything special now that most computers wouldnt handle but I am sure that better games will be out by then with better graphics.

What he means (I think) is that by that time they should be able to make it better looking but with better graphics.

Oh I agree, they have the time, although knowing Bliz they'll try to cater to as many people as they can. I myself love new graphics, although if the game still looks like that in 2010 I'll still be buying it.

I'll still be very happy if they improve the graphics, but it should still be quite scalable

If it gets too complicated graphics wise it may detract from the gameplay. Baldur's Gate 2's graphics for example look just as good today as when it was released, it has a certain style that time can't touch!
