Good news just found a copy of diablo 2 I must have bought. Time to install
I installed on Thursday, but im struggling to get into it since the res is stuck to 800x600
Especially as my native res is 1680x1050.

Run it in windowed mode, I don't think there's any way to force such a huge resolution on such an old game. I've been looking for 1280x1024 for Diablo 2 myself, but not come across anything decent
-w at the end of the shortcut, so e.g.:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w

Some of the little touches are amazning. The bosses' finishing move on the barb was great, little stuff like the ghouls climbing up the wall and the masonry falling apart are brilliant.

Not to mention new things that aren't even announced yet!
Pretty much. The basic mechanics and look of it are identical. It'll be great but Blizzard really need to try to be innovative for once.

I don't understand why anyone is having a problem with the resolution, are you really running it as a tiny little window?! Go into your graphics drivers settings, or your monitor settings and enable scaling based upon aspect ratio.

Works for me. It may be a Vista issue.

you need to type /f add (name here without brackets) in the chatroom or ingame.

I'm on Vista. You might also need to change some compatibility options. I know they recommend run it as Administrator with XP compatibility mode, not sure about the others... I ticked them anyway.

nope in the starcraft panel they said the single campaign was only 30% done and that they hoped to talk about it more in the next months as they go into beta
cant see sc2 being this year so 2009 and d3 2010 with wow wotlk being end of this year
