Just wondered how many peeps installed a floppy in their last custom build.... is it something out of habit?

I added one to mine, not sure why really, only used it once and cant remember what for.

Maybe it is because every computer ive had has had a floppy drive fitted of some description and a computer just isnt a computer without one and you think... "I may need to use it.. its only a couple of quid, i'll add one anyway" or am I the only one?

When will the floppy just DIE (in an affectionate way)... the thing is, it still has its uses every now and again.

The reality is, I think there is a need for a "sucessor" to the floppy and all we have is the CD which isnt the same... clunky to be honest, on Windows at least.

Mad fun that was, I never quite did figure out how Microsoft managed to make most of the disks just slightly too big to copy onto a normal floppy disk. It was always great when you then had to use the Windows 98 upgrade CD as well.
