So today i've switched to diet coke.
I think its gonna take some getting used to lol.

it says on the tin 1 calorie. were as full coke is 145 calories.
also it says 0% fat an sugar.

but im dubious. does it contain alternative sweeteners that are worse for you?

PS- anyone else not sure about the taste at first ?

Really you should stay away from any carbonated drinks.

If you are that bothered, don't drink carbonated drinks as mattheman says.

I much prefer diet and zero to regular coke. Regular feels like it's eating my teeth when I drink it and I have weak teeth as it is. :(

You should probably avoid diet and coke zero then. They both still contain a fair whack of phosphoric acid, which wrecks your teeth aswell.

why dont you drink water, after a while you'll start to dislike the taste of those types of drinks.

This is what I normally do that or squash, depends where I am though. At home it's squash, at work it's water, when out for the day it depends what I'm doing and what is available and I have carbonated as a treat more than anything. :)

I know it cotains the artificial sweetener aspartame which there has always been controversy about. Aspartame is based off of Phenylalanine, which some people cannot genetically metabolise but apart from that I don't think there is any solid evidence that it's dangerous.

Personally Coke Zero tastes more like coke than Diet Coke, so I would try that.

Also bear in mind that orange juice has a lower pH (is more acidic) than Coke.

If you want to lose weight, water is the way forward as others have said. Also, for the last couple of weeks I've cut out all junk from my diet, I feel much better, and look much better.
