Got a reply so far as my server pre-order is concerned.

If it does transpire we can’t supply what you paid for you will get a full refund.

This is news to all of us as of today, lets see what happens over the next few days.

What has really struck me is how so lackadaisical the announcement was. ''oh, yea, we are mutilating the PC version tbh''. He didn’t seem to appreciate what he was saying, and am not entirely convinced they didn’t know they would get this reaction. And clearly, the usual server providers wherent aware of it either, some of them still have it up as a pre-order.

Whilst not eloquantly put he has a point, the vast majority of console players are casual gamers who don't really have a clue about this sort of thing, they just want instant thrills, now, and a console provides them with this.

Certainly your average chav would have an Xbox 360 not a PC, if you know what I mean.

Not that this applies to everyone, of course there are intelligent and educated console users like yourself and indeed like me, I have a 360 and I'm eagerly awaiting Forza.
 
Man, this is just one of those things that the community could come and sort out if we had access to any sort of dev tools. I can seldom think of a game that was all that it could be without great community support... Who knows what is needed to make the game better, than the gamers?

I really hope something changes, or I won't be purchasing.

It's very odd as I've never genuinely felt like this before, boycotting a game I was really looking forward to. :(
 
The reason I'm not angered by this is because at some point I have owned CoD 4 on every platform and I prefer the online on the consoles.

Has anyone even tried IW's matchmaking?

I loved the COD4 SP too but when I heard how good the MP was I got a legit key and havent looked back since. I now have two profiles on there and both are now level 55 and I am enjoying it all the time.

Removing all the fun from MW2 will just only make the game half interesting. Sure the SP will be great but the majority of us were banking on the MP side of the game.
 
I said I prefered the online, not the entire game :p

Although, it's fine, because everyone has the same controls. In real life you can't spin round 1080 degrees in half a second, a pad is technically 'worse' to be sure (A keyboard and mouse user would destroy a pad user) but is it less fun? That's a harder one.
