haha. Oh my. I'm finding this quite funny considering Tac nuke, Throwing knife and MP AC130 were all put in by joker and stolen by IW.

MW2: IW gets AC130 takedown notice

As you may be aware, our very own PST*Joker has made assertions on BASH that the MP AC130 and several other MW2 features were influenced (without any recognition) by him and other PC modders.

A few hours ago, I saw a Tweet go out from a community member suggesting that Joker issue a takedown notice of Infinity Ward's AC130 MP vid on YouTube.

"@pstjoker I just thought you should send youtube a DMCA take down notice regarding the #MW2 AC130 video. See how youtube responds." (@therealrudedog)

I think Joker took up the idea and I can only assume he's more surprised than anyone that a few minutes ago YouTube yanked IW's AC130 video right off IW's official channel.

AC130 vid removed

I've mentioned before that MW2 has been like a marriage breakup between PC gamers and IW. Now, this has all the earmarks of a messy divorce.

By the way, I certainly don't envy Fourzerotwo in any of this -- as if he doesn't have enough on his hands. All of this seems very unfortunate all the way round.

Just a few minutes ago I spoke to PST*Joker and apparently he did make the takedown claim and YouTube did take down the original official video from their IW channel. Joker forwarded this reply from IW's community manager:

"Really? Copyright infringment claim? :sigh:" - Fourzerotwo DM on Twitter

Apparently they done the same thing with the vast majority of cod4 perks as well, just copied what community mods had and put it into the game like it was their own idea. And that little tit fourzerotwo isnt helping matteers with his attitude towards the pc side of things, he's meant to be a community manager and all he does is seemingly pander to 360 owners.

Anyway, may as well post this here as well

But it's already been posted twice

Good on PST*Joker, if they blatantly steal ideas from his mod then why shouldn't he be up in arms about it

That is AWESOME.

Although Fourzerotwo's DM is just retarded! He really is handling this thing incredibly badly!

Hi guys, I have bought all the cod series and am going to continue to buy this one, have decided ( after just passing my interview ) that i should definately and go get the game at midnight, woop

For the most hated game ever you guys can stop talking about it, I can see some of you "boycotters" buying it and playing it like you have just been to a brothel. :D

How much is it on PC, certain places doing it for £32-26 on PS3/360

Any info on a demo for the PC, wouldnt mind trying it on my PC.

It's probably because most of us are massively dissapointed. I really, really looked forward to playing this game MP.

More than likely it'll still be the Christmas #1 PC game and I doubt the boycott will have much overall effect on sales, especially once the furor of release is over with and people give in. It's £34.99 on Steam although some online deals mean it's about £25.99 depending on buying other games with it or discount codes.

For one of the most hyped games of the year it's no surprise that many PC gamers are still talking about it, whatever the feelings are about dumbing it down. I think personally that if this is a success then it'll mean more games becoming P2P with their own gaming networks, DLC content when we're used to having mods etc for free and generally more expensive games when we've been trying to lower pricing for years (especially on console). It could be one of those games that helps change the future PC scene.
