DIGGER

Lol it's being absolutely destroyed.

Its not awesome but I don't think it deserves this much hate..

Mostly by the critics, not so much in audience scores afaik.

But WB are running ads quoting some of the terrible critics reviews and telling audiences to go and see it for themselves - which I think is a great move.

There’s probably a fair few people out there that constantly complain movies nowadays are all sequels and franchises, yet won’t bother giving this a go because some self-important Hollywood Reporter type gave this 2/5 stars.

Not to get all tinfoil hat-like but you do wonder if there’s a reason behind some of the mainstream media outlets not really liking this movie. Hmn :o

Agree with @Scam the trailer did not reflect well. It kinda missold or implied it to be one thing but turned out to be another. Some people may like this but wasnt my cup of tea.

The other irony is that people incessantly complain that trailers show too much of the movie. This trailer doesn’t, they’ve made a clear choice not to show anything beyond the first.. I dunno 30mins. Which in my opinion benefited the experience of watching the movie.

As usual critical drinker spends 7 mins saying it how it is lol. I agree 99%.

Watch his spoilery video if you are not bothered.

Rotten Tomatoes scores are utter trash. Only need to look at older classics and see how low the scores are to realise the ratings must be from braindead teens. Still find IMDB scoring way more accurate.

7.3 on IMDB which is not too bad.

I'll wait for streaming, as judging by comments so far probably a film I'll struggle to finish or will give up half way though!

It just looked like massively over the top campy acting and I really don't like it when they use heavy prosthetics on actors that seem to be done poorly.

I know I am in the minority here but the worst part of tropic thunder was Cruise. I have genuinely no idea why so many people go absolutely wild for that bit.

Definitely not my cup of tea but also surprised so many people actually thought if was good.

I guess everyone ere will wait to buy or hire
Serious question. Why does the amount a movie makes or loses inform a decision on whether or not you personally will decide to see it? Fair enough if you want to post poor reviews, but why articles like that? Just makes it feel like an anti-cinema bandwagon.

For reference, here are some movies that famously “bombed” at the box office;
Citizen Kane
Fight Club
Blade Runner
The Shawshank Redemption
The Big Lebowski
Donnie Darko

Ok?

Without spoiling it for you… There’s a very clear reason for that and it’ll make sense if you stick with it for at least a quarter of the movie.

I agree.

It was actually one of the more "interesting" films on 2026.

To explain why it looks the way it does is to literally destroy the film.
After this it puts it all in context.
Its not as good as a Keyser söze or Tyler Durden moment but it certainly a contextual change.

Is it a good "film" after that.... Well it's ok.
Its message is pretty obviously clear. Its honestly still pretty meh bar cruises mad monologues and the awesome set designs. It does feel like a vanity project..,

The trailer was so misleading I feel like the bad word of mouth from the first watchers has just destroyed it.

I genuinely don't get why people won't watch it . Cinema tickets are about 5 quid these days.

I have seen much worse films.....lol

Not accurate

Fight Club didn't bomb

It was a bit of a disappointment for the studio, but it did make money, and then made an additional $50+ million on DVD.

Same for Big Lebowski, it made money in theatres and in subsequent 'home video's releases.

Donnie Darko, Shawshank and Blade runner were minor box office failures, they didn't lose twice their budget.
