Digging a hole (tunnel) while the rain pours in

The tunnel should not have been dug in a conservation area. It will disturb small animals and historically important stuff. The perpetrators should be prosecuted and probably sentenced to hard labour on a major infrastructure project.
Will there be any effect on the 'real' project, I doubt it, applause from their supporters maybe.
I really don't support HS2 as it seems to be a money making scheme for friends of the decision makers, but dangerous little protests will make difference what so ever.

Get them to work on HS2. Save a few quid on the billions.

They've even got a proven track record of the required skills.

I have at least half a brain, so wouldn't have dug the tunnel in the first place. It's such a sad state of affairs that if something happens to them down there, rescue services are forced to rescue them from their own stupidity.

What amazes me about this is how the press have covered it with their claims of labyrinths of tunnels, it makes it sound like there's a massive amount down there but then they say '100ft' which is about 30m. That's hardly a labyrinth, it's not much more than the length of my garden!

The tunnel at Stalag Luft III was over 110m long. That's a proper tunnel, these hippies need to do better.

Worst 'I have a big garden' post I've seen in a while :D

They've been there for months now, was issues during summer where the homeless/vagrants around the station were going into their camp and helping themselves and the environmental warriors kept calling the police out to help them.

Yeah, pretty funny when the press make it out to be something akin to...
