I think we need a thread just to highlight how many of us have had problems with OCuK's 24" Monitor and the poor customer service from DGM.

A lot of users in the large thread on this monitor have all been told around 7 working days for replacement/repair but in the real world this does not appear to be true.

DGM should not be quoting those values when clearly something is wrong with their supply chain 'so they say' or when they know they can not fulfil repair/replacement in the time-scale quoted.

Can you post with something along the lines of: The fault you had, How long you had the monitor until the fault occurred, How long it has been with DGM. :)

Fault: Rolling, Flickering screen until no display at all.

Purchased: December 2007

It's been with DGM a couple of days now and I have been quoted 7 day turn around which I'm not confident with, given the problems other users are having.

Problem - Monitor went POP then screen went black

bought 19/06/08

returning it to ocuk for a full refund if found faulty

Fault - Entire row of dead pixels, maybe more than one line, graduly got worse. Didn't get round to rmaing it for a couple of months after the problem started.

Purchased October 07

Been at DGM since 5/5/08

Despite the buzzing sound I get when it turns off this screen seems like a good deal.
However i think i'm gonna return it (not ocuK) for a monitor that does 1:1 pixel mapping.

Monitor 1: Perfect (Bought late last year)

Monitor 2: Pixels would not refresh at all, leaving trails everywhere on the screen.
Turned around by OcUK very quickly, replacement is perfect. (A couple of months ago)

Best add mine,

Had it around the start of this month (June 08)

Got it from the shop, Was actually a TN so wasn't what i expected

Tried it and that had a fault on the screen, Red semi circular marks 1 third down from top centre of screen

Called OcUK, Took it back in next day and swapped for another

Ended up with same panel as Benq FP241W panel aka AU-M240UW01-V0

So far so good, No noises or pixel problems

My 2nd screen had since March/April

Line running full width of screen about 3" from the top

Reported 10 days ago, picked up following day, DGM confirmed they received it on Monday 23rd, was told 7-8 working days but dont know whether it'll be a repair or a replacement

Got mine Wed 25/6/08, tried it 27/6/08, has a black or dark green line running across the screen about an inch from the bottom. Sent 2 webnotes to OcUK this morning, still no reply.

Might seem a silly question but how do I know which panel I've got?

Pete.

Update: Just got an RMA from OcUK

I took delivery of mine back in Nvember 2007, colours seemed out and then the uneven backlight problem appeared and just got worse and worse, took it back the next day and got my money back.

I have to say, my screen looked nothing like the first ones previewed in the uber thread....cherry picking ? Possible....I won't be buying again.

I will be the only persons ticking up for this brand then. i purcahsed a dgm 32" tv about 12 months ago now, no faults with it at all! and the customer services were very quick to progress my extended 3 year warranty :)

well yes, a lot of us havent had problems. this is a thread for people who have.

Got the 24" DGM from OcUK on 3rd March 2008, this was my third one in a month due to receiving TN panels... developed faded/ghost type lines vertically in the centre of the screen, but could only be seen with certain colours etc... called DGM to register, emailed proof of purchase, and then called them to arrange collection, they have just collected it today... will update when it comes back.

dunno why on earth your bothered with dgm when ocuk have a legal requirement to replace it.

Repairtech took mine back over 4 months ago to repair a problem where it would just turn off after a while. I still don't have it back - this is the worst service I've ever endured I'm not going anywhere near this company once this is sorted.

(I phone them often, but they say they contact "head office" in taiwan, but they don't get back to them).

You must have got a RMA number to send to repairtech?

Just email DGM at [email protected] with your RMA number, and try and speak with ben.
Or speak direct to DGM customer support on 0208 839 2285

He sorted my troubles soon enough
