Digital Blackface BBC

Can see it now. No humour allowed on the Internet. It is amazing how so many people are allowed to communicate today since everything is so offensive. Look how the white child holding an American flag was offensive.

Shame her twitter is locked down, I'm sure quite a few people would like to politely express their disagreement, directly.

I know I would.

I am fortunate enough to be in Florida at the moment.

The day before yesterday we went to Animal Kingdom and watched the Lion King show. It was brilliant but there were gymnasts dressed as monkeys. They were all white guys coincidentally, but one of them would jump into the crowd and ruffle the hair of guests. He went to a young black guy who looked thoroughly unimpressed with a white guy dressed as a monkey making monkey noises at him.

The point is that it was part of the show and in no way intended to insult the black guests, but of course this was lost on the guy who was sat with a snarl on his face throughout.

Context is everything in these cases. It doesn't matter what you or I or anyone else "interprets" something as. It is the intent that matters. If you are offended by the colour of an emoji or a man dressed as a monkey in a Lion King show then that is your problem for being a delicate little *********.

We need more victories for common sense. The next time someone falsely accused someone or something of being racist then they should be smashed all over the place in court for slander, libel and whatever else they can charge them for.

If the monkeys had been black he would have been even more offended.

Do any of you guys empathize at all or just dismiss it out of hand?
Do you see any merit to her annoying opinion?
Could you understand that a ten year old or socially "slower" person might begin to associate humourous statements with over exaggerated black people faces?
I mean most people are dumb and can't often see stuff from any other points of view afterall.

And just as I said the first time in this reposted thread, that privileged, BBC woman's voice makes me want to kick puppies.

Ever reached a point where you no longer care but you can see how crazy the madness all is? Either way you'll still end up a racist, nationalist, white supremacist, fascist, nazi, homophobe, islamophobe and every other name under the sun.

Watch the H3H3 video. Thats pretty much what 99% of people think. This woman, a few ********** and the slow kid you mention make up the other 1%. Life is too short to be worrying about unimportant crap like this.

But the problem is unimportant crap like this is getting air time and things changed to appease them. I mean, we have already paid tax money for this ironic moron to make the video :/

Unless it's a troll, in which case 10/10. We've all been had big time.

Taxpayers money? Airtime? This wasn't shown on television and it didn't cost the taxpayer a penny, she's not a staff member. If people didn't actually link to it, it would be a total non-story heard by nobody, it's you lot who are making it out a big deal.
