I find that amazing, not that theres anything wrong with it!

I get making a sandwich out of the leftover main meal as another meal but i cant see the whole "turn the meal into sandwiches" thing at all!! :D

i know, that is how i put on so much weight. ;)
i could get a steak and kidney pie and chips out of our local chippie, and would easily eat the whole lot with loads of bread and butter

Firstly its "local chip shop" not "local chippie" apparently ;):D

However the slightly worrying thing is now that you mention it, it all sounds quite tasty!!!

You know by that same reasoning we could call any form of meal a racist slur and get away with it too.

Logical.

And don't presume to know my ability at deducing situations because of a couple of typed words on here.

Well if i am racist by the use of the word "chinky" as opposed to "chinese carry out meal" when "chippy" as opposed to "Fish and chip shop take away" is acceptable then your ability to deduce situations is clearly open to question.

I had a lovely all you can eat chinky with the misses yesterday.
:D

I also have bread with most juicy things, i had bread to mop up the juice left from a homemade chilli.

There is zero logic there.

That word has a history of being used as a racial slur so by its very nature it causes offence to many Asians and is deemed racist.

Wether or not your opinion agrees with me.

I only ever have bread and butter with a meal if it's fish and chips. No idea why, just seams right. Strange thing is I only have butter on a sandwich at this time. Other times I have the bread dry.

It has no history of being used as a racial slur when describing food as opposed to people.

Ok, I do understand your point.

I just disagree with it. :p

However, I won't try to change your opinion or any others furthermore. :)

Edit - Well reasoned debate by an ocuk don as usual. :)

I apologise for derailing the thread, but if i said

"I went outside to smoke a fag"

Would you assume i had shot a homosexual? :D

Calling a Chinese meal a 'Chinky' isn't offensive or racist.

So shall we call going for Pakistani or Indian food "going for a ****" now?

Is it also not offensive because you decree it not to be? I wonder why you think you can say that with such authority?

It also specifically refers to grabbing a takeaway.

NOBODY says they're going to a chinky restaurant.

A chinky is a specific, no-offence-intended, colloquial noun for a chinese takeaway.

Anybody who thinks otherwise is a retarded imbecile who deserves to be followed down the street having their arses kicked until they cry.
