Dirt deliverd

Bumper cam is too low for some rally stages, bonnet cam looks too high and feels weird, and cockpit view is normally obscured by stuff so you can't see anything :/
I want to use the bumper cam, but like you said its way too low. Difficult to push on, if you can't see what coming up ahead.

Also I find the handling of cars too light, especially after playing something so well balanced as Forza. Driving a big 4x4 with 350BHp feels like your controlling a remote control car.

I actually play all car games using bumper cam where possible. But you guys are right, the bumper cam on Dirt feels far too low and the only cam i can get on with is behind the car cam, which is a little difficult on some of the bigger buggies as they tend to obscure a lot of views.

I so hope they get the new Sega Rally right. New graphics with the same handling would be perfect.

gutted.. I put off getting Forza for Dirt. now I'm gonna stay clear. I can't understand that Dirt has no real live play. My PS3 handles all my Billy-no mates games easily enough. 360 is all about live for me.

Forza it is!!

The end of my wheel clamp is 20cm away from my 37" LCD. Personally I wouldn't have it any other way.

 Dude id hate to see what your eyes are like, at that sort of distance i think my eyes would go loopy ie cross eyed for life:p.

But ive decided to buy one, wireless wheel...just need to make some time to actually go and get one now.

Hmmm so far Dirt doesnt seem all that good, kinda sucks that you cant play over Live ie racing against others etc...thats an extremely big thing to be missing imho.

Still dunno if ill bother keeping it, if Sega rally is going to be better then id wait for that i think...i do remember playing sega rally a long time ago and it was great fun.

Decisions decisions decisions...lol...

EDIT: Its a Codemasters game isnt it??, im sure it is...cant remember tbh :p. But if so then they have done it again codemasters, first they royally **** up Brian Lara Cricket with some stupid bugs...which still havent been fixed:rolleyes: and now they screw up Dirt by no multiplayer action on Live...think its time codemasters stopped trying to make games for the 360...they are so ****'ing useless at them...their games are full of bugs.

So your not that keen on Codemasters then?? ;)

LOL not really, they have some great games but have totally ruined them through lack of programming or their programmers are totally clueless. Seems to me they rush their games and dont really fully test them for obvious bugs imo.

The CMR games on the last-gen Xbox were great IMO... their programmers certainly squeezed a lot out of the hardware and with none of the issues I've heard attributed to Dirt. It could either be that different programmers were responsible for Dirt, and/or the 360 architecture is not so easy to code for?

Possibly but then i blame their laziness tbh, like i said Brian Lara cricket could have been an excellent cricket game but they rushed it out for the World cup cricket earlier this yr and left a lot of glaring bugs within the game. Rumours are that they will solve them but the game has been out since March this yr and yet no sign of any sort of updates to fix the game. Sadly my most anticipated game of the 360 has been now confined to sitting in the corner gathering dust.

Cant see why they cant code the 360 architecture properly, other game studios out there are doing a fine job of it ie Forza 2 is a prime example of how a game should be coded for the 360...super smooth gameplay and no stuttering whereas the brian lara cricket suffers from stuttering and awful gameplay.

Forza 2 may be, but it seems that a lot of other 360 games (most?) suffer issues of one kind or another, like inconsistent framerate, tearing, vsync issues etc. Whether this is down to tricky hardware to code for, or simple laziness, who knows.

Worst thing about Brian Lara is that it has some of the same bugs that were present in the xbox/PS2 version from a few years ago. Add to that the awful fielding crap.

ok this game is bloody hard with the wheel. Got it at lunch, fired it up and crashed about a dozen times lol

Got mine too through the post, awesome I love it. I 've always enjoyed rally games every since sega rally and v-rally, its just a different experience to the Forza like game which is a nice change.

This game is bloody brilliant with the wheel.

Whilst it might not be 'technically' as clever with the wheel as Forza, it sure as hell is more fun. Turning the feedback onto full is a riot! It's a full freaking workout!

I've noticed wheel times ARE slower than joypad times though, quite often mine and JUMPURS' times are very close, but some with pads are faster. I have beaten some pad users though, so it gives me hope.

Personally I would take slower times and more fun with DiRT though, it really is worth it. If you have the game, buy the wheel. If you have the wheel you MUST buy the game.
