Dirt Showdown Bench Thread

Yeah. Once i get things working i like to leave it alone. My days of fiddling (or even just taking out my gpu's and putting another one in) ala 7970 Accelero are long gone. :p

Rubbish on that, you just got to keen with Mhz and it went pop, your only fooling yourself :p

I find myself enjoying playing about with Dram timings and BCLK adjustments these days, though im almost done with those now. I need to find a new thing.

I get board when everything just works, i find myself stripping the Rig down and cleaning it more than i need to these days.

I wonder if sieb needs an enquiry?:D

Lol i did wonder how he had a higher score than me. :p

Nah i don't think there is foul play involved. My single card score just seems a bit low. It could also be something like Elpida vs Hynix ram.

And I have no idea why my game says YARRR instead of CONTINUE. :D

3 FPS higher than Matt looks ok to me, but "YARRR" thats awesome. never seen that. :D

which is generally the best clocking? elpida or Hynix? I cant add ram voltage due to me using trixx, just cant get used to afterburner

surely its swings n roundabouts with ram

this msi 7850 has Hynix, think my 7970 does aswell

Hynix, Pitcairn's have Hynix but the thing with them is they are only rated for 1250Mhz while Tahiti's have 1500Mhz rates IC's.

7850/70's genrally only clock to 1400/1450 or 1500 at best, with mine being a Tahiti it does have 1500Mhz rated Hynix IC's and they run at that out of the box, i can get them to 1620Mhz but no higher as it has no vRam overvolting.

My old Gigabyte 7870 would do 1500Mhz but not 100% stable.
