disable POST?

is it possably to disable the POST @ startup?
when i hit the power on switch nothing happens for 10 seconds, then it beeps, then it boots up. cant i have it so it just boots up straight away?
because of this im @ 30 seconds from hitting the switch to working desktop, id like to reduce this

I don't think you can, all boards go through a self check on startup.

Have a look in your BIOS for a Quick Boot option. Most boards can do a shorter POST if you're happy with system stability. Not advised if you're overclocking though.

Yeah I don't think you can disable it fully, as the Computer needs to go through the checks.

this. If your running vista or win7 the sleep mode actually works how you expect it to. It "turns off" the PC, and then turns back on if around 1 second
