Have always had a soft spot for these.

Anyone on here ever owned or driven one?

If so, what are they like?

Good and Bad points welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Apart from the spoiler... Great cars.

If you do a search it has all been covered before.

Great cars, best gearbox going, engine is fantastic but needs to be worked hard. handling is spot on, can be unpredictable in the wet at times.

Try the search button :)

I owned one, it was fun enough, interior is a highlight as are the looks

the engine is marmite and the handling is reasonable

given their current prices I think they represent decent value for money and reliability

I think there's at least 5 of us who have s2000's on the forum.

S2ki is a wealth of knowledge too.

That one in the OP looks ace .

Unfortunately my insurer refuses to quote me until I'm 21 :(.

It will be very expensive at 21. A colleague was paying over £1000 at 26 8NCB/ no accidents/points. Have a look at Elise/VX220's (can get insured on a NA Vx below 21 for a reasonable amount).

I thought these were absolutely horrific to insure. Surely a younger driver would be better of looking elsewhere?

Yes, I found this out last year. The quotes were pretty high.... The thought of being able to insure the Elise or VX220 for much less is lol'able to say the least!

Think it seems to be more that most of them all seem to be terrified to drive it in the rain like its some beast set out to kill them.
