Might be an unstable graphics card overclock, Is your card overclocked? try resetting it to factory speeds and see if it happens.

TP LINK TL WDN4800
ARCTIC FREEZER I30
G.SKILL RIPJAWSX 16GB RAM
SEAGATE 7200 12 1TB HARDDRIVE
INTEL I5 3570K
GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H MOBO
AMD RADEON HD 7970 OC
ZALMAN Z11P CASE
XFX CORE SERIES 650 WATT PSU

im over clocked to 4.4 and im sure my pc should be able to handle that right?

Graphics card!

Have you clocked it? with MSI Afterburner? or something similar?
A cpu overclock won't usually have any effect on a graphics card display driver crash.

it does on ivybridge

does it say "catalyst control centre has ran into a problem and needs to close?" and games crash to desktop?

if so you need more cpu voltage

try with one or two clicks more cpu voltage or dvid

then test again if it crashes again try two more clicks

look in event viewer for any whea warning/errors esp 19 parity error, this means you need more cpu voltage to be stable in games
