I like old books, there's just something about them. Good to see this old Bible will be restored and given to a church. With everything going on in the world it's a nice story, regardless of personal belief or lack of. Marvellous.

Some people's reactions to this is quite funny. Getting up in arms because it's a bible and losing sight of the bigger picture. Yeah, let's burn it, even though it's potentially worth a fair whack of money for a book...

What next, let's burn a first edition of one of Beatrix Potter's work. It's only fiction, it has no value, it's all made up.

I'm late to the thread it seems.

I was going to say I have a friend who collects bibles and buys most of them from charity shops. There is a lot of people who buy old bibles.
