120 words aye.... that would be cheap ;)
Basically Im having it hard book bound (not cheap plastic spine binding) and that costs around £55 for three with gold leaf lettering. The printing is more expencive than it should be, but im in a bit of a pickle. Everyone is saying it will take longer than i have (needs to be handed in on the 10th and binding takes 4 working days). As I have some colour pages, the only company who can get it done on time says I have to put the whole thing through the colour printer meaning 30ppp for bw and 80ppp for colour.... Adds up to around £80 for 360 sheets (100 bw / 20 clr).

Bit of a kick in the teeth, but only have to do it once i guess :)

Bah i'm getting really stuck formatting my contents etc. :\

I figured just using bullets and indentation (using bullets generated the numbers 4.3.1 etc. automatically which was handy), but simply adding ..............00 and aligning to the end of the page doesnt work as theyre all slightly out :(

I wish we'd been given a seminar or something on how to properly format all this stuff, everyone seems to be blagging it :(

Whats the proper way to stuff like that^?

(Using OpenOffice)

I normally do it in a table, then set no table lines, I presume this will work in Open Office.

Woops i forgot about this thread. Thanks for the idea. But i found it easier to set the whole bullet sections as justified then just put in as many dots as possible. Workd a treat! :D

I handed mine in last Wednesday. 16k for everything, 13k for the main body. 46 pages in all. I got 3 copies bound (2 handed in) and am so chuffed :)

I got an extension on mine becuase of 'depression' :D , and did the whole 25k words in the last 2 weeks of the easter holiday before i graduated. got 68%.

3 weeks left and I have results and conclusion to go. Had to rewrite my literature review as it was totally wrong. Anyone actually happy with theirs? I feel mine isn't the best and speaking to my friends everyone seems to feel the same. I have had next to no help which doesnt help!

Sounds identical to me. Personally I think it's because the topic really interests me and because of that, I'll never feel entirely satisfied with it because I'll always feel I have more to write on the subject.
I've had a useless tutor for it so that hasn't helped.

Mine doesn't interest me at all so its hard to get motivated to do it. My original supervisor disappeared and I got paired with the head of department so its hard to track him down. Feels like im constantly pestering him just to get 10 minutes of his time, can't be bothered with that.

Just hope it passes, need 55% or above average for a 2:1.

I've done 11,000 words so far on mine, hand in date is next week (10TH MAY)

And i havent even got started on the documentation of my program as i have only just about finnished debugging it.

I made this really cool funtion on my application which i feel the need to share with everyone!

I'm doing software for a car computer and have intergrated the topic with networking.

I have created an extra piece of software which you can make playlists on the home pc. Then all you need to do is transfer the playlist file over to the car pc. The software will automatically find the songs needed for the playlist and transfer them over at the same time. Pretty cool eh?

Now its time to create a load of diagrams (DFD's, ERD's...).

My brother wrote 10000 words on hip-hop and rap music and it's origins in black history in 2 weeks flat. He got about 65%.

Jammy so and so.

Congrats Haly :)

Just wait for the moment you hand it in..... You'll be smiiling for the rest of the day :)
Thanks :) It should be great :D
Not quite got that feeling yet because I've still got two other essays to do but once everything is sorted out.....:D

I have another bit of coursework due in a week that's worth 100% of a module, but compared to getting the main project done it's nothing really so I'm not too fussed about it.

Things at Loughborough seem to end quite late... I have 3 more weeks of lectures yet, exams start end of the month. Lots of my mates elsewhere are all but done already.

That's a bit unlucky. :/
Lectures at Swansea end this week (for me at least, not sure about other departments), and my deadlines are 2 weeks time. Then I'm done as I haven't got any exams.
Should have some extra hours at work so got a summer of work ahead of me to help fund my masters then off to Stafford in the Autumn. :)
