Argh I'll never forget the couple of days (and the day!!) last year when I had to hand in my dissertation- some of the most nerve wracking and worrying days of my life! Looking back, I was very lucky to get it in OK too!
I didn't get my program running 'til about 18 hours before the deadline.
I then stayed up all night the night before it was due in, almost had a heart attack when my computer froze for 2 minutes at about 4AM, threatening to wipe out everything I had done that night!!
I stopped writing at 7AM, checked I had everything in order, went home, had a shower and had to convert the whole thing to PDF as something was corrupted in my document which meant it would not print properly. (I had never even attempted a PDF conversion at this stage so anything could have happened!)
I went back to the library at 8AM with it in PDF format on my memory stick, printed of 10 test pages (It printed OK thank God!!!)
I then spent an hour burning my sample application to CDs for my final copies, copied the whole thing to my memorystick again, and to a borrowed one, and emailed it to myself (just in case!), and headed off to town to get it printed.
I turned up at the printers at 9:30 (luckily I was first one in there!) and it took me until 2PM to print and bind 3 copies properly (about 140 pages each), paid £70 for the privelege, and handed it into uni 1h:30min before the deadline.
I got a recommended mark of 81% from my tutor and an overall of 78% so it all turned out OK in the end!
Anyway I digress good luck to everyone for results day and I hope your dissertation went more smoothly than mine!
