Same kind of damage happened to me when i punched a window last year.
Lost a huge chunk of flesh off my little finger on my right hand, and have a scar going across 4 of my fingers.
Also had some nasty scratches on my wrist.
You were very lucky mate, to not get seriously hurt!!

I done that a couple of years ago, not as bad as that though, just a few cuts across the top of 3 fingers so didn't need hospital treatment

It was used in spray form on big wounds to stop soldiers bleeding to death before they reached a hospital.
Lucky it wasn't deeper on the wrist 
. I cut my tendon on the back of my hand last march, was a good inch long cut and down to the bone. I had a safety glove on and it went straight through, when i took the glove off to look blood spurted out and i thought id cut a vein or something. Wrapped it up in tissue and my dad took me to bury A&E. Thought id be in and out but then the doctor had a look and said id cut through my tendon and would have to have an operation 
. I ended up waiting 4 days in hospital then my hand was in a splint for 3 weeks. I couldn't fully move my hand for about 8 weeks but now i have full movement back and a nice s shaped scar.
