DIY Lee Filters for your Flash

I still haven't done anything with mine. To be honest I don't know enough about flash photography yet to make use of then. If I get a second flash (trying to source a cheap Vivitar 285HV currently) then I would like to try some stuff using the filters to give some nice colourful backgrounds :)

Got a set, tried them in a film canister on top of my built in flash and the difference in colour is quite interesting. I want to play with off camera flashes now :(

quick question about these DIY filters. Once you've sent off for them do you receive much in the way of sales calls / leaflets being posted through your door? I'd be tempted to get some but without the hassle of all the crap you get sent from companies trying to flog you stuff

Got mine the other day, cheers for the link ScarySquirrel!

My favourite is the gold reflector that you can half slot into the wide angle adapter on your flash and create instant golden light :D

I am yet to use mine yet. But once I have a cheap 2nd off camera flash I am hoping to use them a bit more for giving some funky colours to backgrounds and stuff :)

That's a stroke of luck. I thought they'd taken the approach of giving people a list of local suppliers where you could procure a swatch booklet from.

Pretty much the story I'd heard. I think they got fed up with having to deal with the sheer amount of enquiries for freebies.

I got that this morning as well. Think I'll email one of the places in Edinburgh and see if i can get the swatch pack from there. Just state in the email that i tried the main Lee site but they directed me to the dealer. You dont ask you dont get ;)

My filters arrived at the weekend but couldnt fit through the letterbox so collected them from the post office today :)
