Hard man, assaulting someone for doing that.
tbh i dont think i would have been as patient,
dimple, can you do us a rendition of Help at your next gig

Of course I read it. I still think you were unreasonable.
I better thing to do would have been to go and chill at the bar with your 'band'... I'm sure the landlord would have sorted it out quickly.
You talk like this is the first time I've had to deal with idiots, I deal with them every gig but this was exceptional.
You didn't say that in the explanation I've quoted above...
Had some old woman begging us to play rolling stones at a wedding once, incredibly annoyingIn that situation I think we would have only listened to the bride, since she was enjoying herself (and paying us)
It amazes me that people pay DJs at all when its mostly all automated. They should spend the money on a decent speaker system instead as most pubs/clubs have awful distorted sound. Then just queue up a few playlists.
Hmm, I remember posting a similar thread a few years ago about modern DJ's and I was taken to the cleaners.
I was even invited to a locals house where he took me through what he did on his decks and CD gizmo and it made me change my mind.
He showed me how the tracks had to perfectly line up in BPM and then overdubbing different music & effects on top and I was quite impressed that I was looking at a new instrument.
If on the other hand you are talking about DJ's who just stick tracks on then you might as well as have a jukebox with a decent PA system.

Some purple stuff like Joker, Gemmy and Rustie do some stuff which is sort of a blend of R'n'B and dubstep. Sounds rather good thru a decent system, and I would class it as dance music. Then again dance music is a rather subjective tearm anyway, you could dance to almost any kind of music if you tried. It really grinds me gears when people passes r'n'b off as 'dance' music.
While I wish I could afford cdjs, I don't think I'd get them. Being able to have all your music on a laptop and controller is so much easier than having a ton of CDs![]()
CDJ 2000,just use an sd card or mem stick using pioneer rekordbox, thats the way i play now and it saves carting round bags of gear.
