DLSS 5 preview

Wow, DLSS MFG now available on 40 and 30 series thanks to modders, up to 6x. They're really going to town on DLSS since the DLSS 5 dll files were leaked.
Oh is that what happened? So none of the videos that have been released of various games are some official release?

An NBA 2k7 prerelease build leaked with the dlss5 drivers, and modders have been going to town taking the nvidia library and plugging it into other games with Reshade.

The only official DLSS5 game you can play is NBA.

Mad artifacting going on in this but looks insane still, smooth that out all will be good.

So is DLSS 5 one of those things where it's clearly a generation or two early compared to the hardware needed to run it, just like Ray Tracing was.

Also for some stuff i feel it still looks worse nevermind artifacting but I'm sure some of that will improve as it matures.

I honestly wouldn't say so, Right now it's pretty much brute force, Only Nvidia can really optimise it to where it needs to be, And performance is going to double apparently in the next few months, But in some titles the hacked in version can run really well.

I have an RTX5060TI 16GB on a 9600x,so will be testing some more games on a midrange rig when I get some more time.

Yes - a bit like when FSR4 INT8 was leaked and modders implemented it on older cards months before the official release.

Also the fact, that Nvidia frame generation seems to work OK onRTX3000 cards so it was an artificial lockout.

Given we’ve only seen less than a 50% performance increase per dollar in the last 6 years I can’t see this being viable for atleast 10 years, RT has only just got to the point where it’s performance impact has become reasonable and that tech is going on 8 years old at this point.

i havent even tried to use this im old very stable drivers so not installing anything ..
Yep, I don't get why people update every driver release, I'll leave it until something won't work or there are new features (like I updated for FSR4 support, but I think before that I was running drivers from around 2024... and have updated again in the hope it would fix some issues that recent drivers caused :D )
