DLSS 5 preview

The colours in Resonance were way off in the environment in a couple of areas where there was a lot of ambient light. Setting the colour transfer strength to 40% helped correct that.

Another comparison in an area where the base game lighting is much better than in my previous example:

Now working for all Nvidia GPUs from 20 series up! On Reno discord.

I said it yesterday and will say it again today - if they can nail down the performance loss a bit, this is going to be MASSIVE. For fellow tweakers like me anyway...

Well upscaling currently does not work so when the final version comes out the performance hit should be a decent amount less.

v4.55

Just dropped

Ive just had a go with it in RE 9 and its the first game that hasn’t blown me away. Its a very subtle effect on graces face and imo it makes the world scenery look worse, more washed out than with default path tracing.

Back to Control.

What you mean? Upscaling is working - I've tried 5 games today and for every single one DLSS upscaling works (i.e. performance, balanced, quality or DLAA/ native with the expected FPS impact as per usual).

This is using the latest v4.55 release though from today. Yesterday with v2.5 Black Flag Resynced would only work with DLAA/ native. Is that what you mean? But upscaling worked with v2.5 in Cyberpunk anyway, and others....

I found the same. Ironically this was the game that made everyone freak out with "Grace's face" and the DLSS 5 first info, but with this mod the changes are incredibly minor agreed.

It has its own internal upscaling aswell

Are you expecting DLSS 5 upscaling (when it comes out) to be more performant than DLSS 4.5 upscaling? That what you mean? If so I doubt it will be.
At the moment DLSS 5 neural rendering is working with DLSS 4/4.5 upscaling. (they really need to change the name as I said though, calling this new neural rendering feature "DLSS 5" is just stupid and will no doubt confuse people)

There is an option for upscaling but it doesn't seem to do anything. Apparently some reviewers like Linus have the full non-leaked version and the upscalkng works and helps performance a lot. Not sure when the NDA is finished.

Some games do need the color settings adjusted from what I've found - on default settings RE9 looks better in some places than others, but you can reduce color transfer strength etc to make it closer to the original colors of the game.

I've found the opposite re Grace's face, the change is too drastic imo depending on your settings:

I adjusted things to be a bit closer to the original:

With HDR over this too I like it a lot. What I find I'm mostly missing vs PT is light being cast on the scene from different sources, but after playing a few parts I'm preferring NR over PT - the zombies really are that little bit more scary too and more... 'alive'.

I'll have to check out Control sometime, curious about that one.
