DnB thread!

That skrillex song I posted above is not nearly dubstep, it's actually neurofunk. Unless you consider Spor dubstep ;)

As for Knife Party, they are amazing. Guess they are just another band it's cool to hate...

I don't just like dubstep you know, ive been to a lot more dnb nights with people like Breakage, Alex Metrik, Andy C among many others. And I'm really enjoying Rene La Vice at the moment.

Really want to go to another Playaz night at fabric. Original sin was mental.

Oh, and if you heard that Nero remix dropped in cable like I did last time I was there, you'd be raving with the rest :)

I have no had the displeasure of hearing any knife party. The shockingly bad name alone makes me think that I have been very lucky.

yeah it's more of that wobwob **** really. bonfire, one of theres just sounds like old pendulum stuff with the horns but to a drumstep beat.

try out some renegade hardware/bad taste/ammunition records etc, much better than the mainstream stuff you appear to listen to quite a lot

e: to me ram records have gone to **** recently; real shame calyx and teebee signed to them, they used to be awesome back in the day (saw them both at a renegade night at the end, was absolutely bonkers)

I don't think its cool to hate them, I just don't like their sound.
It also has a lot to do with growing up and not liking teenagers, it happens to everyone. They took what I loved 10 to 15 years ago and created a sick ginger ******* child that should have been put down at birth.
I forever knew drum and bass as deep, slow and with a good build up and drop and they tried to turn it into fast paced wind ups and screeches.

Where are the likes of Moving Fusion, Bad company, Ray Keith, Ram Trillogy, Dillinja etc. I think I just have to come to terms with the fact they're too old now and this ****e we have is the future.

Dillinja is awesome. His remix of Granite, is however, not.

As I said to twist3d, have you listened to much coming out of Med School?

I think you guys may enjoy this a bit more :)

His dubstep is much the same style, very minimal and heavy, without the stupid amount of synths that is ruining some modern dubstep :(
