DnB thread!

I'm on a Basic Operations vibe this evening - you'll see why.

It's a shame they don't produce anymore. For those that don't know, Basic Ops used to be a trio; Nathan Hayes aka Sirus (produces now under Atlantic Connection), Catullus and Focus (Focus who produces with Random Movement & Mixmaster Doc etc).

Just solid Liquid throughout the day.

______

Waiting for this to get signed too. Audio is a bit crap but still.

I think it's the first married couple who produce in Drum & Bass; Derrick & Tonika :D

Glad to be of service :D Shame I didn't see it sooner, you would have had it for your set :(

I am addicted to anything with crisp beats and heavy bass lines (have been for many years) so I've no idea why I have not spent much time in this thread.

I did listen to your mix but will listen again and provide some feedback. Did listen your tune yesterday and was pleasantly surprised :) I'll listen to that again too. The trouble with providing feedback is that music is very personal and the varying nature of drum and bass means that there is something for everyone so what I like might not be the same as what you do.

This is very true :)

Thanks mate, I have a new heavy drum and bass track coming soon on my new EP as well. But I'm definitely playing the rockwell remix at my next set. This friday :D

I don't know much about the technicalities of music production so when I've provided feedback to friends in the past it's usually along the lines of, "can you extend the choppy bit at 1:56"

What are your reasons behind producing? For the dance floor? For 'studio' mixes? For yourself?

:D what my mates usually do for feedback is just tell me what sounds are good. Pretty much the same :p

My reasons behind producing? I love music, and I want to put what I have in my head into music. I have about 2million track ideas, just not the level of skill required for them. Having them played in a club is pretty cool too though :)

I guess it's not just for myself, seeing other people go mental at a track I just dropped is one of the best feelings I've ever had. Especially if they haven't heard the track before, come up after and then find out it's mine :D

Don't know why I didn't mention that tune, I've listened to it about 50 odd times...

Anyway had a Eureka moment in the car last night, was listening to the latest Hospital Podcast and it ended with this, sounded so familiar - there was a radio recording on my phone I found and it had this on it, think I was half asleep and forgot to ID it the next day.
