drum n bass was at its peak from 93-96 IMO when people like photek, pfm, skanna, orca, funky technicians, source direct were producing. these days it's more like 2 step, no invention in the drum pattern.
Never really listened to this type but I'm quite liking it.. However Dbridge and Instra:Mental are playing at an event I'm going to on Friday and I'm wondering what kind of set they will play o.O
Yeah thats why I want to go see them live see what they are like.
The dancefloor will probably be less packed for them too. Last time I saw high contrast at stealth it was so rammed there wasn't adequate skanking space!
One of my favourite intros. My 12" is badly worn now unfortunately. Loved this track at the time...not the album version. Can't forget Stormbringer either. A shame he started making absolute garbage after a while.
jungle has been dead since 97 and dnb took off then, there have been incredible tunes made since and in vaster numbers than back then, maybe your just not hearing a wide enough selection? there are hundreds of tracks being produced which my ears wont entertain but equally as many that I love
as an aside, Ive just discovered new Jungle Tekno and im liking it, 92-94 stylee with 09 production techniques
i never said he did, i was talking about dnb not being dead since 97 but jungle has, people didnt even call it dnb hardly back then, just jungle, it was only when it phased into neuro end of 96 that people started calling it mainly dnb
Hitting Hospitality at custard factory (birmingham) for the halloween mashup. Gonna be my first dnb event so I'm proper excited, even thought the lineup isnt anything amazing.
