You don't have to run at 240hz though, just because you can.
I can tell the difference between 60hz and 165hz but I generally run at 120hz because I can't really tell the difference once I'm above 120hz
I'm been playing above 140+ fps in most games. Having to cap to 90 FPS was noticeable and was depressing.
It's normal to update it when you build the pc and then leave it alone forever. On rare occasions there might be some reason to update it, but generally not.Yeah thanks, this thread was mainly asking for advice about bios. Whether it's normal to never update it etc. I didn't update it since building my PC and I saw some versions have cpu support so was unsure.
It used to be normal and outside of the enthusiast crowd (like us on here) it still is. Given the improvements to general stability and compatibility that happen over the years and the recent(ish) frequency of security issues, I wouldn't recommend leaving one for years anymore. That said, I would not expect it to have a severe performance impact, BIOS updates rarely add more FPS unless there's something they needed to address.Whether it's normal to never update it etc. I didn't update it since building my PC and I saw some versions have cpu support so was unsure.
