Do I really need a new DMF?

That wont be the case at all, no such thing as a VW Clutch or DMF. I would bet its an LUK item or a Sachs, in which case you need to find the LUK/Sachs part number.

Edit:
I might be wrong but whats this, ive only had a very quick look.

Yes I understand VW do not make the flywheels, however the part numbers off the original flywheel match nothing, I spoke yo LUK direct and they said they offer no aftermarket replacement. It is 100% a genuine only part, which is annoying as you can get all the other flywheels etc inc the DSG one..

Get in touch with ELK Performance, chap runs a lot of very high power Volvos and has set up a little shop, gets gen Volvo parts directly from Sweden and he's significantly less than Volvo dealers, so always worth getting in touch with him.

Make sure if you take it somewhere outside of Volvo to get fitted that they have the correct tool, it's not like replacing a clutch on any other car, there is a special Volvo tool/press used on the DMF and if this isn't used when installing it you'll be back within a week with issues.
