Do NOT buy from G2Play!

Since it's been understood that they are not coming from a keygen I don't see much point in talking about it anyway.

oh and quoting yourself is the first sign of forum madness :)

I can kind of see how you'd infer it Jmc, but it's a bit of a stretch. Certainly a bit much to hound me through pages of a thread demanding I recant my evil lies, style of thing.

Thankyou.
I only said it once and this is the first time you see "my point"; in all honsesty, no stetch of the imagination is needed.
You said what you said, I mentioned it once and you say I was mistaken, though I clearly was not.
So I wanted to clear that up.

I thought we saw eye to eye earlier....Truce?

I apologise for hounding.

If it's not for resale, of course they could confiscate them from you :/
You can't re-sell DVD's (in a store), or rent out DVD's bought from highstreet stores, can you? It's the same.

ofcourse you can , never seen a shop selling foreign versions of english food?

er my wife often comes home from pound shops with moisurisers etc that have english labels slapped over foreign ones all from brands we see advertised on the TV in this country.
(ive seen it with choclate bars aswell shops selling norwegian cadburys stuff , the same as you goto america and walmart etc have english food sections)
its not really any different to what the cdkey selling sites do apart from they arent operating from this country.

i doubt anything stops you from ordering from a chinese highstreet retailer online and saving yourself some money

I'm not talking about food or moisturisers. You'll find the laws regarding resale of digital media and copyright are not the same as those for consumables.

However, since i've failed to find the correct segmant of the blurb at the beginning of a movie (example) where it says "this cannot be resold or used for public performance on oil rigs, libraries blah blah blah nor to be rented etc etc", i'll let you get back to your cheap Arabic Beans.

tell that to everyone who happily sells second hand dvd lol.

and ofcourse a shop can buy some DVD from abroad and sell them in the UK, wait a minute doesnt the rainforest site and the jersey site sell DVD's that arent even the correct region for europe? ......

Again, second hand DVD's are not the same as a shop bypassing the distributor and breaking the sales agreement to make more profit by importing the same goods by the same distributor from a different region for a lower wholesale price. In any case, second hand DVD's are covered under a different law entirely called First Sale Doctrine, or Exhaustion of rights.

Your examples are not even the same topic.

And no. The rainforest site uses a tentative law regarding Tax to ship goods from a UK region of distribution that is exempt from the same taxes applied to the rest of the UK. It is not the same as shipping from a region that is supplied at a lower wholesale price.

Honestly, go for the beans.

That wasn't what he meant, he was talking about those two sites (rainforest dont ship from jersey) selling stuff like R1 and R5 DVDs, which obviously have been sourced elsewhere as only R2 is distributed here.

'Is this illegal?'

Hello mate

Recently we have aquired Call of Duty MW2 keys from a supplier who showed up to get them in unlegitimate way.
We had unfortunatley no idea about this since the price offered to us was not cheap and the profit margin for us on these transactions is very low.

We may offer you 3 possible solutions for this issue:
1. Eiether we refund your payment via PayPal
2. We give you any other game in similar value
3. We will recieve another pack of Call of Duty MW2 keys from verified supplier probably in 48 hours (max after weekend ). We can then replace you your current key of course.

Best
G2PLAY.net Team

I have requested a PayPal refund, will update with progress, all other users of G2Play that are having problems I advise you do the same thing!
