Do people really use Gmail?

What is tosh about an easy to use, easy to configure free email account with more then enough storage?

i can't quite put my finger on it, but it stinks of 1995 and netscape and aol era...

I've been using gmail since I signed up in 2005, use it religiously and as such, i'd expect to get a lot of spam. I don't get a single piece of actual spam, can't remember the last time I did.

What do you people sign upto?

Just referring to my op, the two accounts had never been used or passed on, ever.

I have several mail accounts forwarding to my gmail account and it sees very little spam, it's also handy to check all my email from the one place!

Gmail is my primary non-work email a/c; infact, I have 3 Gmail addresses

The storage space is good, and I get hardly *any* spam in my inbox...almost all of it goes to the spam folder automatically.

However, I have experienced problems with gmail in the past with mails not being delivered to the intended recipients. There was a day when whatever mail I sent would take 5 hours to reach the recipient....weird, but it has happened.

And, I don't like the targeted ads at the top of the page. Creepy...
